Dr. Kemi Jona

Assistant Vice Chancellor for Digital Innovation and Enterprise Learning - Principal Investigator

Dr. Kemi Jona has worked at the forefront of the learning sciences and learning technologies fields for over 25 years. He is thought leader in applying insights from cognitive and learning sciences to the design of online learning, blended, and hybrid courses with a focus on enhancing quality, access, and equity. At Northeastern he leads digital innovation and enterprise learning partnerships for talent strategy, focused on creating new lifelong learning pathways for learners of all ages. He has launched partnerships with GE, IBM, Google, ServiceNow, Infosys, Coursera, Year Up, and others.

As a Research Professor at Northwestern University, he led over $2M/year in externally funded research projects in advanced learning technologies, computational thinking, design thinking, online and blended learning, and new game-based approaches to engaging youth in interest-driven STEAM learning, making, and tinkering. He was the founder and director of the Office of STEM Education Partnerships, forging relationships with the K-12 STEM education community.

Dr. Nikki James

Dr. Nikki James

Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor, Entrepreneurship & Innovation

Dr. Nikki James is a visiting Assistant Teaching Professor of Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Northeastern’s D’Amore McKim School of Business. Her research is focused on examining how technology and learning analytics can be used to measure and scaffold the development of 21st century skills.

Dr. James is originally from Australia where she began her career as a social innovator while completing her MBA. And landed in Boston, MA after starting projects in China and Tanzania and completing a Doctor of Education at the University of Liverpool in the UK.

Anjali Kandimalla

Anjali Kandimalla

Project Assistant - Candidate for MBA 2023

Anjali graduated with a degree in Computer Science and Engineering in 2019. After graduating, she worked as an Advisory Analyst at Deloitte. She is currently an MBA candidate at Northeastern’s D’Amore McKim School of Business, concentrating in Entrepreneurship and Sustainability & Business. She is passionate about education equity and has interned with multiple NGOs that work towards bridging this gap. Her interest in entrepreneurial activities and her passion for education equity drove Anjali to the role of Program Coordinator for this program.
